温柔的大眼

回港半年有多，工作了五个月，看了一大堆书，考了一把试。工作在进步中，偶觉刺激。闲时打网球，学愈加 和游泳。或许下周去试试学街头舞。

 

上周六下班後感觉特孤单，灵机一触去找刚刚认识的中国银行女职员玩。她恰好要去香港警察总部打网球联谊赛。我就去乘热闹了。只见一批精壯的警察先生小姐大战中银行大班們。连快要退休的警队一哥也下场了。结果是警察們大获全胜。我在寒风中观战了一下午，略有所悟。只可惜不能跟著他們去著名的中银大厦71樓吃晚宴。因那是政治飯，可惜啊。

 

自从看了这场比赛後，网球技术大有提高。前兩天买了一套减价的白色网球衫裙帽，穿起来很神气。今晚就穿了这套战衣和那位中银小姐大战了一小时，感觉是如有神助，竟能开始稳定的引拍和follow through 了，也能尽量控制住球的准度。美死了。平常的孤单寂寞感在挥拍和汗水中悄然蒸发了，代之而起的是开了窍的无比喜悦。真想再和Lincoln的朋友們较量一下。

又一个学期结束了，可爱宁静的小城又生产了一批优秀的毕业生，流向四方去追梦，去服务社会。多多保持联系， 友谊长存。

Having worked for a while and found out that I do not have enough spare time for excercising and meeting friends, even eating with my family members. :(  Spending time and money to buy working clothes, suitable belt and shoes to equit myself for a regular junior staff. Having passed paper 1, 7 and 8 (combined together can get the RA 1 license (dealing in securities)) provided by SFC. Will have paper 9 (derivatives) and perper 12 (assets management)exams in Dec and Jan respectively. Very exaggerated, there are over 800 examinees for every single test that I attended, and the tests are held every month. So you can imagine what kind of a city Hong Kong is, too many banks and investment institutions here. I enrolled the CFA level 1 program in Feb organized by Kaplan in order to take the June 2 test. Your managers are always want you to be competent but don't like you to go to school that often.  I could not attend my tennis class tonight because of the over time job, bad. :(

 

I applied two IPOs ( initial public offerings) online yesterday, they are H share (mainland China's company but listed in Hong Kong). It is very convenient to apply it if you have online bank account. You can usually gain profits from IPO, but the allocations for you are limited. And it is better to get rid of them in two weeks after they are listed. My applied IPOs will be listed on Dec 15th, I will let you know the results. :)

I visited Mogan Stantley and the main bank of HSBC today. Although I just went there to hand some documents to the traders, I still felt excited. I received so many name cards of them, and many of them are the holders of CFA. This drives me to start to apply the CFA course organised by the HKU Space in the next January. I feel painful to wear my high heel shoes to walk for the whole afternoon. Will sleep earlier tonight and read the book my father bought for me in Shenzheng "HSBC Financial Empire: A story of 140 years in China." Try to swim tomorro morning before work. Still feel odd when people call me "Rita", the English name I just created for myself for convenience for work. If not, they may call you "miss Kwok", which will be too respectful for a junior trainee.

My first working day was very busy. I was so lucky to know some investment tools that I have never heard or learned in the school. I was also very lucky to have a chance to listen to some very senior professional investors' vision about the future development of China and such. They suggest me start to prepare the famous CFA exam and saying it is very practical. OK, let me try. The only thing I hate my job is the long working hours, which will disable me to do other things I also like very much such as sports, meeting friends and the photography to balance my life. Let me try to balance it as best as I can. I tried to swim in the early morning today. I'm also longer to spend my time with somebody I love. However, life may not always follow your will.

Miss my plants in the U.S. very much. It is time to buy some plants at home here. Without plants at home, I feel lost.  

 

今早6:40am 起来，从书房的窗口看到了一轮初升的红日倒映在平静的海面上。海面上停着两艘豪华邮轮。一只小船经过，荡起了一波白浪。美极了。

I feel ashamed that I haven't really start to search a job yet after almost two months from my graduation. Instead, I'm having a pointless and wasting life here. I spent HK$2,400 to buy an electric anti-humidity cabinet (100L) to protect my expensive cameras and lenses. I bought a 30g vedio ipod as a gift for my sister to help her learn English. I also bought an espresso coffee maker (Krups 4050, HK$1,690, making expresso is good enough, it brings out the aroma great, but it sucks to make frothy milk) and a nicely English made coffee cup to indulge myself. In the morning, I will spend one hour either to do fitness dance following the DVD or go to swim, and another hour to practice yoga. I may study or browse finance news in the internet or cable TV in the afternoon. The only thing that I have accomplished so far is that I'm becoming lean and firm (:)), and the soaring of my tiny investment in the stock market. It looks like that I am not active enough to plan my future. I'm pretty sure, if I continue my life like this, sooner or later, I will fade out in the society. I'm wondering what's my fate.

I spend a whole night to study how to use the merging of the Yahoo messenger and the msn messenger. I just feel that yahoo messenger is getting stronger and the yahoo! 360 is competing with msn space. Anyway, I feel it is time consuming to adjust to the ever changing high tech environment. Why not to live simple.

回来香港后，整理了十几箱的行李。大部分是书，照相机，电子产品和衣服。父亲几乎每天一大早过来看我，随便带一碗豆浆和蔥油饼给我做早餐。然后一起去游泳。妹妹和亲戚們也是热情地整天请我吃饭玩耍。他们的深情厚爱使我觉得自己很幸福。但是老这么玩下去也不是路，我报了名下月考一个本地证劵试。大部分本地証劵行招人都需要你通过这些試。我每次考试压力都特别大，简直比是么都大。

 

昨天晚上妹夫买票请我們父女妹妹去尖沙咀文化中心的Concert Hall听音乐会。乐队名是维也纳爱乐乐团（Vienna Philharmonic).此乐队非常有名，是全球頂级之选。主要演奏材可夫斯基的作品。最值得一提的是指挥。Valery Gergiev 生于莫斯科，是全球頂级大师。票价很貴HK$1,200一张。很多观众是达官贵人，老外或学音乐的学生。可惜我音乐素養有限，不是很懂欣赏。但是当晚我们也打扮的很淑女，父亲穿起名牌衬衫显得很帥。

 

离开美国後，为了讓我的美国朋友也能知道我的生活，决定以后开始写英文blog，顺便提高英语写作能力。只是水平有限，請不要见笑。

 

今晚和小妹，妹夫三人去了一家我家附近的杭州菜馆吃晚饭（玉米鱼肚羹，蔥油海蜇，炸银丝卷，上海炒年糕，龙井虾仁，干燒小黄魚和盐水鴨），味道还可以，埋单$440。接着妹夫提议去唱K。我们去了旺角新世纪Mall的加州红karaoke。一个小房间，两个多小时的消费加三杯青岛大约$550。已有很多年没有和妹妹一起这么痛快地玩过了，感觉很温暖。妹夫及贪玩又懂事，他俩感情很好。我喝了两小杯酒就脸红了。我们明天早上和他们的孩子和我爸去骑自行车和放风筝。我还重来没有放过呢！

回港已两周，时差已彻底倒过来了。几乎每天都要整理家务，因为很多邮箱寄回来。还有四箱没到呢。昨天化了420港币在又一城（一个大形mall）一家叫Hair的知名理发店剪了个新发形。发型师叫Joseph （妹妹的推荐），剪的不错。顺便在Mall里的一家大书店Page One 买了几本教写resume，cover letter 的书。 又一城在城市大学对面，学生和coffee shop 都挺多。 因为没相关的工作经验，我选择的范围不多。可考虑Underwriter Officer， either in insurance company or bank.  现在坚持每天锻炼一个多小时来增加体能和减肥首腹。这里气候温暖湿润。
